Supporting NDR
Supporting rescue doesn't just mean adopting a dog. NDR is a privately funded, all-volunteer rescue organization. Monetary donations are always appreciated, and 100% of your donations go directly to the medical and daily care of the dachshunds in our rescue. See below for other ways you can help!

Hotline Coordinator - 1 Needed
-
This person will help check the hotline as well coordinating schedules for the hotline volunteers. This person can/should attend board meetings and pass on information to hotline volunteers.

Requirements: Passion for helping dogs in need, email, telephone


Hotline Volunteers - 3 Needed
- Calling into hotline at least once a day and retrieving messages. This could entail calling a potential adopter or surrender back and answering general questions. If person calling in does not have access to a computer, mailing of applications will also be required.

Foster Advocate
- A foster advocate is the caseworker for each dog that comes into rescue. The FA is assigned when a dog arrives into rescue, is the point of contact for the foster family and then helps the foster family decide which family is the best for the dog. The Foster Advocate is the dog's voice while in rescue.
Each caseworker is assigned 1-3 dogs.

Requirements: Passion for helping dogs in need, email, telephone
Estimated time: 3 hours per week


Transportation
- Dogs frequently need to shuttled to/from vet appointments, to foster home and dogs coming into rescue.

Fundraising
- NDR relys on donations to help raise money for vet care. We need help in soliciating donations from vendors for events and raffles. This involves sending a donation letter requesting a donation, distributing event flyers, and calling vendors to ask for a donation.

- Passion for helping dogs in need, email, telephone, friendly voice and persistance.
